My PROCESS
About the video, I mainly shouted by Canon 70D. Especially I used Sony FS700E slow-motion to shoot a few footages, which focus on the hand action. For the dubbed, I tried a fresh professional recording equipment which called RODE NT-USB micphone and with garageband to edit it. The zoom H5 audio recorder use on sound recorder.
My Feedback
Honestly during the production period, I met some challenges. Firstly, when I was think how can I fill my work with a sense of story when I decided my topic. Because of the shorter time limit, how to make the food of frame have appetite and aesthetic feeling, and not let make content feels monotonous. After discussing with tutor, I tend to the frames focuses on the process of making noodle. The dubbed tell the Chinese cultural stories about noodles. Secondly, when I use slow motion mode to shoot, the lighting is awful. But it is difficult to set lighting in restaurant kitchen. So I tried to use post- production to fix this problem. Add some filters and effect make them look more natural.
I was happy to do this artefact although it is not easy. I have contacted many times talk with the owner of restaurant for requesting permission shoot. They are very nice I am grateful for that. In the last two weeks, I tried do my best and individually finished all production. It was really a challenge for me. And I also learned and get a lot of progress.

In CSSA, I belong to public department that responsible for all kinds of public platforms. Due to my profession, I main responsible for shooting and editing. In my working pried, I joined two big activities-<Coventry Voice> <2018Chinese New Year>
In <Coventry Voice> my role is photography for singing participants and sponsor. Finally I filmed the final. Though this event, I knew the process about a competition. That is my first time taken publicity photos. I was excited.
While the significant event for in CSSA placement was join the 2018 Coventry Chinese new year. My work was film two advertising video for playing before the show. Based on our meeting and discussed, the one video is talking Chinese traditional custom- New YEAR EVE DINNER. I filmed some dish that traditional food in New year dinner. This video is for promoting Chinese culture and resonating with Chinese international students. I filmed and edited the whole video.
The second also is a advertising video about The Spring Market. The spring market was holden by CASSA, during the three days, we sold various Chinese traditional production, like facial makeup, red packet. we offered dumplings for foreign friends to taste. We also invited Coventry mayor Tony Skipper to our event and gave a wonderful performance-Lion Dance and Tai Ji. My responsibility is recoding, then I editor them. I also filmed the 2018 Coventry Chinese New Year Gala in Albany Theatre. I learned many from his activity, because that was mu first time join the big event and responsible important role. I was so stress. While it pushed me, I proved my editing skills and I based on what I learned in Uni to finish my task. For example I made the order of editing. I was joyful and gain recognition. It make me ensure my goal. I love media and want to work in this industry.

2029MAPA Contemporary Media Practice

This article will from three aspects to talk about contemporary media. First of all is I am going to introduce my group project. Secondly, I will carefully discuss how we production it and myself contribution. In addition, I will talk about how I related with class to gain knowledge and know nature of contemporary media practice, exploring the role of media arts.
In seminar classes, we were told that we need to product an artefact work which is about Coventry culture history by various contemporary media technologies. While my group started think of what kind of theme we were interested. Though some discussion, we trend to start with pub, the original idea was introducing some old people who stay in the pub and collect their stories to make a video for expressing Coventry’s historical change. But when we considered that feasibility and interest, we finally decided change story to music. Because music was more specific. So ‘A history of Coventry sound’ became our theme. Therefore, our next step was research. We were looking for the oldest pub and music history in Coventry. According to many reports, the oldest pub name called The Golden Cross which it is more than three hundred years old. Then we also researched a lot of information about music, music events and famous music band. The related articles like Coventry music development process, famous music band’s interview or BBC news. Depend on our research we found some suitable locations where related with Coventry music. For example, Music Wall of Fame, Coventry canal basin… And these places all find out the events, artists, and historical moments left undiscovered in this city. Base on we learned in lecture, we were considered that using interactive media. Hence we made these locations to QR code and print, and then we post on special places. People can convenience get information by scanning QR code to find these locations and follow their information we given to explore this town, understand their history, and know some music cultures.
About our artefact’s last station, we were plan to hold a live. While the best site place was The Golden Cross for this activity. So we contacted the host of the pub and required him rent a part for the live performance. Fortunately, the golden cross every week have event so the kindle host accepted our required. For an activity, publicity is essential. We designed our public post which include our website QR cord and the name, time, place about this activity. For this live, we invited three different styles bands and DJ. In that night we were enjoy a fabulous music live from sexy jazz to pop music, soft R&B to strong DJ dance music. We also filmed that live, community involvement with the QR code trail, and interview some audiences to talk their point about this artefact. After that we sorted out and edited as a video. In exhibition day, we played this video, exhibited our QR code date analysis and showed our website. We focus on vision and audio to express our artefact. This is the whole process of how we producethis artefact. From the beginning of the work to the end we really did many researches and meeting, And I felt exacting and happy with my members.
However, if we want stand out our artefact in creatively, using current and future media technologies and approaches are significant. It is well knowing that median change with each passing day. With theprogress of technology, all kinds of new media products increasing. People also would like use different technologies to produce media arts. More and more people explore new media. For example, our artefact used many recently hot media theologises. Basically, website and post are media foundation. Because they are the simplest and objective. Attracting of people’s eye by post, the website is the important channel for people deeply understand information. In our artefact, we also used Google map, OR code, projector. Due to people have been pursuing convenience, QR code become a key element. From this topic, though made this project I truly realise the power of media and its variety. We can use suitable tools to enrich project’s content and enhance this artefact’s charm. Our story is exploring this town by a kind of music way, following various Coventry music location found new things and enjoy the oldest pub musical. This style is relaxing and pleasure.
In my opinion, though this module study I gain a lot. Each lecture I was not only know a new media technology, but also I practiced them. I can according to the reading and teacher’s tutorial to try them. For instance, GL Mixer that it is a performs real time graphical blending of several movie clips and of computer generated graphics. It is totally new for me. And I have interested in this. VR also expressed me, I was exclaiming the progress of media industry. As a media student, I have a duty to pay attention to contemporary media. The society is quickly developing, and the demand of new things has also increased. While nowadays people accept things is media communication. We should positively deal with this phenomenon. Media is closed related us, in my opinion, we should use our imagination and creativity to creative base on our daily life. Therefore, we should continue explore new media technology and practice in society.
Overall, I learned many new things from this module. In exhibition day, I understand my classmate’s originality and interesting ideas. And media just like magic, it makes producer to think, research and make a beautiful media artefact by one by one technology practices. Then giving audience surprise. So our main task is more practice and one more try.

Radio show
The first radio project was about Northampton. It was a relatively unfamiliar place for me as an international student. In the absence of too much broadcast culture, I as a producer of the group, after discussed with the members, selected a magazine show travel radio as our choice.
A person who is unfamiliar with Northampton is a great opportunity to learn and then pick and communicate to other unfamiliar audiences.
Firstly, I collected some relevant information on the Internet to made content. The characteristics of Northampton. Basically , tourism broadcasting must take into account the audience. We plan to be a short-term weekend trip, the name is plan your perfect weekend. I found a long history but characteristic pub,wonderful theatre and poupuler park. I also am responsible for collecting local information and voices, and depend on the script record relevant information to record background music, record sounds, from the beginning of the end. Some location-related sounds, I through the Internet Material re-editing.
I am also responsible for supervising the recording. Our content is to provide location introduction content to inform the location of specific information. Although there is not much problem in our broadcast content, the soundtrack is broadcast separately and does not fully cooperate with the text, so it gives audience a sense of not being coherent and discordant. This is the biggest regret.
This is my first time as a producer. I feel a huge responsible and stress. I’m responsible for searching, determining content, conducting field visits, recording sounds, supervising recordings, and editing the website. But I have experienced the entire process of responsible broadcasting programs. The broadcast and teacher evaluation of each group, the lack of known programs, because of this subject I also understand the broadcast that was not familiar with before.

TV show
This is a big group of about ten people to produce a variety show about Coventry culture.
Through several topics selected by the teacher , because this is our second time to product tv show,so most team members would like to challenge. After two panel discussions, we decided to play a game show to convey Coventry culture through knowledge competition.
We first determine their respective positions. I am a camera operate.
For the pre-production, we need collect and reacher. the producer gives me the task, my responsible was research coventry events coventry-event-research
This time was a bit special. We did not have rehearsal time but recorded directly. We had two teams and one host. I was responsible for the center camera. The main shooting was the centre screen. Before recording, I help to prepare the set. We were very nervous to record because we didn’t have enough time. There are also programs that don’t work well. In my opinion, we’re not very prepared and there’s no time for rehearsal.
During the recording, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The guests invited were very interesting. The guests who answered the questions and answers were very active.
Overall, the recording was not bad. and through this time I know a new type TV show and deepened my understanding of Coventry culture as well.
2033- Critical Analysis of 2025 broadcasting
Broadcasting in 2025
As an important industry of the media, broadcasting must play an important role in the future social development. I am going to critically think and explain this topic that how broadcasting has developed in 2025.
This is no doubt that the era is progressive, and the broadcasting industry chain will continue to develop. In the face of this situation, in addition to basic knowledge and skills, novel planning capabilities and the ability to unite and cooperate should become an important condition for future broadcast recruitment.
First of all, as news type broadcasts and televisions are more time-efficient, the future development of science, technology and economies will continue to be strong, and humanity will also correspondingly increase mutual interoperability and the demand for information transmission. Therefore, news broadcasting should be more depth and tendency to transparency and comprehensiveness.
Secondly, based on my analysis of Asia-Europe broadcasting in recent years, 2025 broadcasting is diversified. I have found verities programs related to the emotional type of entertainment, but recently there are also some technology-based programs that have slowly emerged. The recognition has an interest in various fields. At this time, broadcasting should meet the needs of the masses, it not only pays attention to the specific interests of different groups carries out diversified programs, also carries out diversified programs, for helping people understand and explore the world.
The third point is broadcast must also maintain the unity of the quality of mind and quantity. As we know broadcasting is now filled with our entire lives. It is an important way for people to understand the facts, accept all aspects of information, cultivate sentiment, and establish three concepts.

2026 MAPA – Short Form Narrative
About this blog post, I am going to talk about my role of the crew and my works of the team. Then intensively tell how do I develop my thought, works, improve myself skills and analyse our group’s film as well. In my group, we finally choose I do as our script. My role of the team is production designer and my main work is focus on pre-production. My responsible for visual concept and imagen the film scenes. Though this project, I was not only learning more about production, but also improved myself media skills.
Due to my role, I need to work with writer and director at first. When the writer finished our script. I read it immediately and label points. For examples, how many casting and locations I have to design and which scenes I should to imagination. We had a small meeting which include writer director and DOP. At the first, the script was divided into three main parts. Boys part, girls part and wedding part. I was quickly sketch on my notebook when director talked the shoot list with DOP. I imagine how my crew shooting these scenes and the camera angles should be. Sometimes I have told them my thoughts and when I confused I asked for help as well. For instance, in Richard part, there is a scene is describing he lie on bed and the flash backs in between some frames he with Steven before and his face now. I was suggested we can shoot from above on his face. Once flash back, the shot will zoom in his face more. We also done the props. We need to prepare some special stuff because the wedding part. After we finished the shoot list, my work was waiting our castings and locations. During two weeks, we hold an audition on 26th October and our producer was looking for the actors and church. Ultimately, we confirmed 6th 9th 10th of November as filming date.
While I can prepare my research and continue do my storyboard. I was draw based on my sketch and shot list, then the scenes and characters are based on our casting and locations. This was my second time drawing storyboard, this first time was fanfiction in year 1. For storyboard I would like talk more. The storyboard is an important part of a film production. The reason is it can play a helping role. It not only gives the director a concept of shooting, but also reminder the camera operation and director what is the next shoot. Personality, storyboard is a big challenge, at the first, I have to draw many frames. Secondly I need to imagine the filming scenes and design the character’s emotion and action. In addition, I am not a professional painter, so that I spend a lot of time and energy to think and draw them. Compare with the first time, I improved a level. I tend to use tablet draw on computer because it looks more profession.When I do my storyboard, I was thinking about the mood board as well. There is no doubt that the wedding part is most anticipated. From the site setting to actors dress up are quite an art. Therefore, I researched many related photos and familiar film scenes as inspiration. But I was impressed with a set design the bride’s dresser. Originally, it just an empty table. And then I put a beautiful mirror and colourful cosmetics and fragrance. These stuffs seemingly random on the table, in order to create an atmosphere that fits the plot.
In filming day, I gave my storyboard to director and decorated the scene with members’ advices before shooting. The first filming day is girls part, I replace one day because of gaffer absence. In our film, we have three main part and they are clear. While each party has they own tint. Girls part is obviously brighter. Because Ruth’s family is happy and forward this wedding. They emotion is positive. As compared to Ruth’s part, Richard’s part is tend boring serious and the bedroom hue is biased toward black. For wedding, the whole hue is colourful and harmonious. I thought wedding part was the most excited and interesting for shooting. We filmed in a wonderful church and I invited my friend a violinist for performance in wedding. Because I want our film more reality. It is worth mentioning that I handmade many cupcakes and a wedding cake for decorating the church. According to my group member said they do not eat cake on weeding. So these cakes as threat for our actors and friend who were coming for help. That day was very cheerful. In filming days, I took a lot of photos for recording our production process.
In my opinion, I do is a modern comedy style. It reflects some problems of contemporary marriage between men and women. The end is funny but the film also has more profound meaning. So I think our film should nature and reality. When I saw our film, I think we get the feel what we want to achievement. But for post- production my do not have high participation. And big thanks for our casting and everyone who help us shooting.
In conclusion, I gain a lot from this project. Firstly, this is my first time be a production design. And I knew the mean and responsible about this role. There are not big problem or challenge. It just need your imagination, creativity and patience. I should to keep improve myself. About production design, I need do more finding the inspiration about shooting and visual effect. This time I only focus on pre-production and did many works. The Storyboard, visual inspiration research, production mood board, set design and production photography. In the process I get improvement. And I gain a lot of precious experiences.

CW2 TERM3 – MY ROLE
My role
For TV show my main role were graphic opening title design and a camera operator.
Because our show is about travel and food, it is a relax and interesting type programme. We were think of the opening should be cute and bright, like a comic animation style.
I also design a logo for the show
And our show’s name is Planet Nom Nom. Our idea was a planet in the screen, a plane circled the planet, the train is moving across the plant. The show about world food, so we consider that we made a skyline and those world’s famous building are displayed in food. And the food building will appear on the planet in turn. Final will be the show title Planet Nom Nom on the screen.

This is my design style of the image
I am responsible for graphic design. Firstly, I imaged these building to food. After I design them, I was thinking which software should I use. As self-challenge, I decided use illustration to made them.
London eye as fruit platter, Dubai Landmark as Sushi, Alfa Tower as Pizza, Egypt as South Korea triangular boar, Bird nest as toast, and Brazil Landmark Statue of Liberty as chocolate add ice cream.
For colour, I choice bright soft colour. Honestly, I spend a long time to finish them. While they look very well, I feel satisfied.
My second role is camera operator. The reason why I choice it as my role is due to my interested I want to film the show. In practice time I also do the camera job, so I suggest I can do it well. I am the camera3, my job is make sure I’m in time with each cue of where the shot should be placed. I shot the middle screen. I also need to zoom out or zoom in depend on gallery director’s order. So this is a job that requires concentration.
For this term, I feel so happy and excited because I am very interested in TV programme. While TV show is totally different with film, so I was very confusing firstly. During these weeks’ study, I got many useful related knowledge about TV slowly. About our team, I also am happy working with them. Firstly, I love our team’s theme, it is interesting. Secondly our members are nice, some people help me a lot.
For myself, I try to do my best for team. By this term I improve myself software skills and imagination in the meantime it also enhances teamwork and cooperation ability.

Mango TV, Hunan Radio and Television Internet video platform, set up in 2014, to the most widely watched TV series based. Most Hunan TV series and variety show can be relieved there. Mango TV also has some premiere of the network drama, and have exclusive broadcast part of the variety show
The website are colourful and considerable strong sexual.
There are many different types channel you can choose which include television, film, cartoon, documentary and variety. And this arrangement gives a person a feeling of meet. Because the website covers the feeling of a rich content program.

This is an international website, so you can choice which language you want. For English version’s website mostly is China red. It is give people a sense of severity.
And there are many different categories of news and video are neatly distributed in the frame. It is very convenience for people to look them up.
The audience also can contact them by using call and email. And there are many content of show are about civilians. So it is very democratic.
I considered that the website will looks better if it has background colour. Although it is big formal website, it looks a little monotonous.
Overall, these two websites are completely different. each has its own characteristics. On Mango TV, the video picture covers a lot, while CCTV has a lot of text as covers.
CW2 Blog Task 2 – The TV Producer
I am going to compare and contrast Jin Xing Show with Legal Report.
JinXing Show is a Large fashion culture talk show.
Show Time: Every Wednesday 22pm
This Program hit the entertainment hot spots, concerned about the people’s livelihood and other issues, and spicy comments. She believes that talk show is not an exclusive interview, she is more willing to talk with the stars talk about something, rather than explore their life.
This program’s present only has one female and her name is Jin Xing. In the “Dance Forest Conference” and “Chinese dance” and other dance commentary program reviews, her sharp, direct language style has been deeply rooted.
It is also because of this sharp and direct, dare to love the hate of Jin Xing in the entertainment circle also has a good popularity, which also let “Jin Xing show” the third section of the star interview much attention.
As we se, the whole set is modern. the show background is a picture of a Chinese prosperous city night view. For the broadcasting time 22pm it is suitable. The presenter is wooden table. The guest is red chair. The red chair is a point of the show. The whole tone is bright and people a feeling of fashion.
Each episode has a new theme, which called << XXX those things >>. Of course, all of the invited guests are connected to the subject. Guests will be through the moderator of the way, and they will discuss the issue with Jin Xinng by her shape questions.
This show is very interesting. The guest is a highlight of the show. Because the guest aways is celebrity, audience can get more information what they interested about themselves. Therefore, audiences like Jin Xing style. If let me say something I want change, I hope Jin Xing do not too embarrass the guests. Although she style is unique, the guest’s privacy needs protection. Sometimes, her question is too much.

There are four main presenters, three males one female. One episode has one presenter. These presenters are older in more than thirty. They are mostly graduated from the prestigious universities and their professional were related to this department. And they have been work at CCTV. In program, the presenter often dressed in a suit, the guests as well.
So they articulate a clear speech orderly. Due to it is a law enforcement program, the audience crowd. It is prime time, many families will choose to watch the program at lunch time. The producer complained of the story in the program, so it became easy to understand, and the audience often saw it with interest.
As we see, this is a relatively formal studio. The main tone are blue and red. And VT occupies a late part of time in broadcasting.
I used to watch this program with family when I went home for lunch after school. Although this show is talk about what are the various kinds of cases in our daily life and how do police solve them, they are not boring. I also can get many knowledge from this program.
